They are able to: Understand the way the construction industry is regulated, understand energy efficiency and sustainable materials for construction, understand how to estimate quantities and price work for construction, understand how to plan work activities for construction, understand how to communicate effectively in the workplace, understand and use drawings and associated software.
• This individual has achieved Unit 306 use fixed and transportable machinery. They are able to: Understand and use legislation and documentation relating to the safe use of woodworking machinery, carry out the inspection and maintenance of fixed and transportable machinery, use sawing machines, use planing machines, use a morticing machine.
• This individual has achieved Unit 307 Manufacture curved joinery. They are able to: Prepare and set out curved joinery, mark out curved joinery, manufacture curved joinery.
• This individual has achieved Unit 308 Manufacture stairs with turns. They are able to: Set out stairs with turns, manufacture stairs with turns, assemble stairs with turns.
