This qualification is aimed at learners in a centre-based environment who may wish to work within the animal management industry or progress to further learning and/or training. Earning Criteria

The learner can recognise the signs of good and ill health in animals and evaluate these as indictors of health status. They are able to carry out health checks on animals and produce animal health plans. Prevention and treatment of a range of diseases and disorders covered. The learner can carry out routine and non-routine treatments for animals.
Learners are required to achieve 10 credits from the mandatory unit and a further 80 credits from the optional units. Further information on the range of optional units can be found in the Qualification Handbook.
