Earning Criteria

• This individual has achieved unit 520 Lead and manage person/child-centred practice. They are able to: Lead and manage practice that supports individuals to achieve positive outcomes, lead and manage practice that promotes the holistic well-being of individuals, lead and manage practice that promotes person/child-centred communication, lead and manage support for change and transitions.
• This individual has achieved unit 521 Lead and manage person/child-centred practice through independent advocacy. They are able to: Lead and manage practice that supports individuals to achieve positive outcomes, lead and manage practice that promotes the holistic well-being of individuals, lead and manage practice that promotes person/child-centred communication, lead and manage support for change.
• This individual has achieved unit 522 Lead and manage effective team performance. They are able to: Lead the development of a positive culture that is motivational and inspiring, manage values based recruitment of workers, manage values based induction of workers, manage the continuing professional development of workers through supervision andperformance reviews, manage the delegation of tasks, understand legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements for addressing misconduct.
• This individual has achieved unit 523 Lead and manage the quality of service provision to meet legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements. They are able to: Understand theories, methods and models that can be used to support the service provision to meet requirements for quality standards, identify key indicators of the performance of the service provision and methods to measure these, manage the implementation of systems, procedures and practice to monitor, measure and improve.
• This individual has achieved unit 524 Professional practice. They are able to: Understand the role, responsibilities and accountabilities of health and social caremanagers, develop leadership skills and ethical practice that recognises and values equality anddiversity, ensure that own continuing professional development meets legislative requirements,standards and Codes of Conduct and Professional Practice, develop effective partnership working, ensure compliance with requirements for presenting
• This individual has achieved unit 525 Lead and manage practice that promotes the safeguarding of individuals. They are able to: Lead and manage compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirementsfor the safeguarding of individuals, develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of safeguarding of individuals, lead and manage practice that safeguards individuals from harm and abuse, lead and manage practice that supports rights, well-being and positive relationships.
• This individual has achieved unit 526 Lead and manage health, safety and security in the work setting. They are able to: Understand legislative and regulatory requirements for health, safety and security in thework setting, monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety and security requirements, manage the risk of work-related ill-health.
• This individual has achieved a number of optional units. Learners must be taught at minimum of 30 credits must be achieved from the Optional units 527-546.
