Through an open book assessment, the learner has shown an understanding of the role, duties and responsibilities of the fire safety manager, the purpose and content of the organisation’s fire safety policy and the key elements of the healthcare organisation’s fire safety management system.

They have confirmed their knowledge of the purpose, structure content and implementation of fire safety protocols, the key elements of emergency evacuation plans, the process of undertaking a training needs analysis and developing a system for the audit of training efficacy.
