This course has been developed for those in building services and/or mechanical/electrical engineers who are new to the repair of electric traction, including MRLs and hydraulic lifts. The course provides the skills and knowledge to carry out risk assessments and routine maintenance work on electric traction, MRLs and hydraulic lift installations in a safe and responsible manner, to ensure an effective and efficient system.

Through open book multiple-choice assessments this learner has shown an understanding of the safety, legal and regulatory documentation and safe working practices relevant to lift environment. The learner has confirmed their knowledge of the examination/inspection on a lift installation in accordance with LOLER and the purpose of a circuit diagram to fault find
