The earner can now progress to further on job training to support them in developing skills, competencies, and capability in plant process operations.

Earning Criteria

The earner completed a 12-month program of development activities, comprising 70% on job training and 30% classroom-based learning. This involved working individually or as part of a team to start up and shut down the process plant, control and maintain ‘to specification’ outputs, prepare for and oversee maintenance tasks carried out by other teams. The earner participated in several Health Safety & Environment scenarios, as could be expected of an Oil & Gas Process Operator

The earner has completed a series of formative and summative assessments covering each program module. The work-based assessments comprise unsupervised operational activity, followed by questioning, production of a portfolio of evidence and completion of various questionnaires. The earner has successfully completed all assessments to be confirmed as competent

The earner has designed and delivered a Health, Safety or Environment Presentation on an HSE subject of their own choice, to the complete training team and all trainees
