They work in a range of settings and as childminders. They can work on their own or supervise others to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements for the learning, development and care of children up to 5 years old. Earning Criteria

This person has met the pass criteria for all components of the Level 3 Early Years Educator end-point assessment. They have demonstrated the required knowledge of the underlying theory. This person promotes positive behaviours and communicates well with parents/carers. They can plan and lead activities and play opportunities informed by different development stages, and they encourage participation and help the child to socialise.

This person can maintain accurate records and complies with safeguarding, data protection and health and safety policies. They carry out appropriate observation assessment across a range of contexts. They can work in a team and can support children with additional and diverse needs. They promote healthy lifestyles through physical activities and meal planning. They undertake risk assessments and actively seek opportunities for professional development.
