Certified Professional in Investor Relations (#CPIR) Designation
The CPIR designation is awarded to investor relations (IR) professionals who have completed the CIRI/Rotman IR Certification Program (formerly Ivey) and passed CIRI’s CPIR exam. CPIRs have demonstrated their commitment to the transparency and integrity of the Canadian capital markets by enhancing their knowledge of IR, specifically in the areas of capital markets, analyst research/relations, securities law, regulatory disclosure, accounting, finance, communications, ESG, ethics and strategy.

Standards
Candidates must pass a proctored, high-stakes, 3-hour exam after verifying their identity with the proctor. CPIR designation holders agree to abide by CIRI’s Code of Ethics. CPIR designation holders must complete a minimum of 14 continuing education units (CEUs) annually.
