The methods of assessment include quizzes, examinations, direct email assignments, and discussion questions with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, practical exercises, discussion, and computer-based training. The general course topics include whole numbers, how to dissect and solve word problems, fractions, decimals, banking, percents and their applications, discounts: trade and cash, markups and markdowns, payroll, simple interest, promissory notes, and compound interest.
