Growing Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies focuses on the various aspects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and asks students to apply what they are learning by analyzing the impact on the growth of entrepreneurship in a specific region. In this course students from the National University of Management in Cambodia partnered with students at the Weatherhead School of Management to examine these issues and develop proposals to encourage growth in the region.

Earning Criteria

Students participated in live class sessions over 14 weeks where they engaged with international speakers to explore the impact of the various components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Working in mixed groups students met with a Cambodian entrepreneur(s) and crafted a presentation interpreting their experience as it relates to governmental, donor and/or private sector efforts to support entrepreneurship in Cambodia.

The final group project for this course provided students an opportunity to draw upon many of the concepts and frameworks that were been covered in the lectures and readings for the course, and use them to produce a project proposal in response to a provided problem of practice.
