Online Teaching and Learning Certificate

Students who earn this certificate incorporate basic online instructional design and teaching strategies into the design of an online course, including objectives, assessment, accessibility issues, collaboration and participation. They adapt content to current online technology and media with attention paid to system differences and limitations of synchronous, asynchronous, and web-based delivery systems. Students able to design a course to accommodate varied learning modalities.

Earning Criteria

The student must pass with a C or better in each course: OTL 601 or 851, OTL 602 or 852, OTL 603 or 853 and OTL 604 or 854.

Overall GPA in the 4 courses must be a 3.0.

Any approved course with an In-Progress Grade (ie. I or RD) will not be counted until a passing final grade is posted.
