Biotech Innovation Experience

The program will introduce the key concepts of choice, recognizing opportunities, turning ideas into action, pursuing knowledge, creating community, building personal brand and having grit. The experience incorporates key skills of teamwork, effective communication and leadership styles. Participants will identify a possible biotechnology problem or satisfy a potential need in a specific area of biotechnology: they will then work in teams to generate a viable solution(s).

Earning Criteria

  • The student shall fully participate in the four day program
  • The student shall work collaboratively with team members to identify an opportunity in Biotechnology (problem).
  • The student shall work collaboratively with team members to research and identify possible solutions.
  • The student shall work collaboratively with team members to arrive at a final solution.
  • The student shall work collaboratively with team members to create a formal presentation that will be shared with peers, faculty and community.
