This beginner English class provides students with grammatical skills such as the present continuous tense and critical vocabulary for use in the workplace, community and as a foundation for academic courses. This course is designed to develop students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills at a high beginner level.

Within the Four Domains of English (Listening, Reading, Speaking, & Writing) the student will be able to: 1. Correctly use the articles a/an with singular nouns; 2. Correctly use object pronouns; 3. Accurately use prepositions of direction & location; 4. Correctly use possessive adjectives; 5. Correctly conjugate the present continuous tense & demonstrate an understanding of its use; and 6. Use appropriate vocabulary to discuss jobs, clothing, countries, family, classroom, and home furnishings.

Student will complete a final assessment through Four Domains of English (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing) requiring a 70% or better to be successful.
