This advanced English class provides students with a deep understanding of complex grammatical skills as well as common and important idioms and phrases that are used in American English. This course is designed to develop students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills at a very advanced level.

Within the Four Domains of English (Listening, Reading, Speaking, & Writing) the student will be able to: 1. Identify & use stative verbs; 2. Use the correct verb tense to express complete & incomplete past actions; 3. Form adjective clauses; 4. Identify & use relative pronouns correctly; 5. Demonstrate an understanding of common English idioms & expressions; 6. Correctly use said vs. told to express reported speech; and 7. Correctly formulate unreal conditionals to express wishes or lament.

Student will complete a final assessment through Four Domains of English (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing) requiring a 70% or better to be successful.
