Earning Criteria

Earn a C or higher in two of the following courses: COMP110, COMP111, COMP114, MGMT135, COMP115, COMP116, a JOUR course, VACV130

Earn a C or higher in a Writing-Intensive Course or a Writing-Enhanced Section and submit to the WAC Coordinator verification from the instructor of the course’s writing designation and the student’s solid participation in the writing aspects of the course.

Participate in 2 types of writing community engagement activities: attend Wordsmith Series, enter a Bucks-sponsored writing contest, apply for a Penland Scholarship, participate in the Tyler Literary Society, work as an ASC writing tutor, participate in a Bucks-sponsored public reading, participate in 2 writing ASC appointments, attend a Bucks-sponsored writing workshop, take minutes/conduct correspondence for a Bucks student club/org, complete a con-ed writing course, write/edit the Centurion.
