The badge earner is able to describe Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) with emphasis on LSS concepts and methods. They can demonstrate awareness of Lean concepts, tools and their applications, such as 5S, waste reduction, value stream mapping and error proofing. The earner can describe the DMAIC framework, identifies how to integrate Lean and Six Sigma for achieving process improvement and the team dynamics and leadership needed to deliver successful CPI projects.

This course is intended for engineers as well as non-engineers, professionals, faculty, and college-level students, and is appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is a self-paced, online course that will take 15-20 hours to complete and introduces foundational Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies for individuals new to process improvement. Participants will explore the integration of LSS to improve efficiency, reduce variation, and meet evolving customer expectations. The course includes video modules, self-assessments, and a final exam (graded) to reinforce learning.

To earn this credential, the learner must pass the final exam with a grade of 70% or higher.
