The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt badge earner can describe and apply the following LSS concepts: Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), lean concepts and its applications (5S, waste reduction, value stream mapping, error proofing), DMAIC framework, basic statistical analysis methods, tools, and control charts. Can also explain the integration of both Lean and Six Sigma for achieving data-driven process improvement results, team dynamics, and leadership to provide effectively successful projects.

This course is intended for all engineers as well as non-engineers, professionals, faculty, and college students and is appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences. The Green Belt certification or similar training is a prerequisite for the Black Belt certification. This course has no prerequisites, however, knowledge/experience/education in probability & statistics is required. Learners without this background are strongly encouraged to consider the optional statistics refresher.

This is an online, self-paced course that includes twelve (12) 90-minute video lectures (15-20 hrs to complete) and an extensive take-home exam (30-40 hrs to complete). This course provides foundational training in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and optional statistics refresher sessions for those new to probability or quality control.

To earn this credential, the learner must pass the exam with a score of 70% or better.
