The badge earner is able to identify the advantages/disadvantages of layering to TCP/IP networking and can define essential networking applications. The earner can recognize the functionality and inter-layer relationships of TCP/IP protocol suite including TCP, UDP, IP, ARP, routing protocols and media access protocols, and the theory and practical aspects related to wireless networks, and can define simple analytical models to estimate network performance.

This course is open to all engineers, professionals, faculty, and college-level students.

This is a self-paced, online course that will require 30-35 hours to complete and provides a deep dive into modern networking concepts and protocols and wireless technologies. Video lectures, self-assessment quizzes (not graded), and a final exam (graded) will allow learners to build both theoretical understanding and practical skills in computer networking.
