International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) Level 2 – Advanced Tutor

The International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) is an accredited certification by the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) since 1989. This certification provides recognition and positive reinforcement for tutors while also upholding exemplary standards for the training and skills they receive. Tutors with this certification understand the basics processes, as well as metacognitive and psychosocial aspects of tutoring.

Earning Criteria

Tutors undergo regular evaluations (once a semester) to solidify that they are meeting CRLA standards and employing effective tutoring methods outlined in ITTPC training.

Tutors are required to hold at least 25 logged hours of tutoring to receive certification. These hours are tracked through an online scheduling software and confirmed by the Director of University Tutorial Services.

Tutors are required to attend and complete 10 hours of in-person and online training in order to receive Level 2 certification from the CRLA.
