Earning Criteria

  • It is recommended that learners should have a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) interest and should have completed the necessary math courses that are typically covered in 1st and 2nd year college programs. There are no required prerequisites for the Data Science Advanced Suite, however, learners who do not have a strong STEM background are encouraged to start with the Data Science Essentials Suite.
  • This is a self-paced, online offering that includes three (3) individual courses and will require a total of 58-70 hours to complete. The courses include Introduction to Java Programming (10-15 hours), Advanced Algorithms (18-20 hours), and Advanced Machine Learning (30-35 hours).
  • To earn this credential, the learner must pass each course (3 total) with a grade of 70% or higher.
