Computer-Aided Design with Fusion 360

The badge earner can use Fusion 360 software to digitally create 3D designs using parametric and freeform modeling tools and techniques. The badge earner is able to assemble parts by applying different joints and constraints including motion links, create 2D technical drawings from 3D designs, and generate an STL file for 3D printing.

This course is currently open to all Binghamton University students and staff who are interested in developing their CAD skills.

This is a self-paced, online course that will require 12 hours to complete and provides essential CAD skills for moving from 2D sketches to fully realized 3D designs.

To earn this credential, the learner must pass a final challenge and test.

Requirements include a computer with specs sufficient for the installation of Fusion 360, an external mouse (adapter needed if computer does not have a USB port), and installation of Fusion 360 on the computer.
