THEO891 - Introduction to the Old Testament
On completion of this unit you are able to articulate the Jewish approach to scripture in the time of Jesus, and how it relates to Dei Verbum. You will be able to speak to the way the culture in ancient Israel gave expression to the revelation of God to the people as they journeyed together across history. You can identify the spirituality of key Jewish collections of books, the Torah, the Prophets and the Wisdom literature, and apply these to contemporary situations.

Earning Criteria

Participate in three online sessions of 2 hours each. Participants engage in online lectures, readings, online resources, guided group discussions, and reflection activities, applying the material to their personal and professional development.

Complete four assessments consisting of Discussion posts and essays.
Standards
20 hours of Accreditation to Teach Religious Education. The course is created to meet the criteria of the Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5.
