This publication describes the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and provides guidelines for applying the RMF to information systems and organizations.
The NISPOM establishes requirements for the protection of classified information disclosed to or developed by contractors, licensees, grantees, or certificate holders (hereinafter referred to as contractors) to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
Cleared contractors processing classified information under the cognizance of DCSA will follow the guidance contained within this manual to complete the RMF process and obtain system authorization.
