Earning Criteria

Earner has completed a 6-hr Community Researcher training course to prepare them to carry out community research in support of live projects and initiatives. During the training the earner learned about: the role, ethics [copyright, confidentiality and consent], planning and preparing for research conversations, holding structure/boundaries and using listening and questioning techniques to help people express and explore what they want to say around the theme of the research.

Earner has practised the skills developed in the training with other trainees and supported members of their training cohort to grow. The earner has demonstrated that they can give and receive constructive feedback.

Earner has successfully carried out and recorded at least one community research conversation to the standard expected. In the process they applied the learning from their training and used prescribed systems and process to support the processing, storage, transfer and analysis of the conversation they recorded.
