Earners of the Design Masterclass - Model and Theories in HCI certification will understand how HCI has long since grown to include a larger notion of user experience (UX), which includes usability, utility, emotional impact, and meaningfulness. Students will learn that UX engineering is a continuous process that occurs across the whole product or system life cycle, and that building the UX design should not be done at the last minute, when the "rest of the system" is complete.
