Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification provides students with an introduction to the tools, techniques and methodologies that will empower them to lead Lean Six Sigma projects in their organizations. Students learn the problem-solving framework for improving processes -- Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) -- and also receive instruction in the tools for streamlining production and services from end to end.

Earning Criteria

• For an undergraduate to earn the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Graduate Certification, students must complete the following three courses with a B average: Senior Design (INSY 4800), Six Sigma (INSY 5330/6330), Lean Systems (5800/6800).

• For a graduate student to earn the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Graduate Certification, they must meet the following requirements: “A” or “B” in Lean Systems (INSY 6800) and Six Sigma (INSY 6330).
