The general course topics include layer 2 network discovery; virtual LANs; trunking, and VLAN trunk protocol; EtherChannel; spanning tree; STP timers and failover; L2 attacks and port security; VLAN ACLs and private VLANs; storm control and port-based authentication; layer 3 switching; and VRRP and GLBP.
