Person-Centered Care for Individuals who have Higher Weight: A Certificate Program
Issued by
Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists
Diabetes care and education specialists are increasingly seeing people with completely preventable type 2 diabetes and related health complications where the disease and complications have manifested as a result of excess weight and obesity. In our work with healthcare systems, organizations have expressed a strong need for a standard curriculum from ADCES to educate the broad HCP care team to apply best practices in excess weight and obesity management.
