Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers

The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) is the sole professional body for Malaysia’s banking industry. Founded in 1977 as the Institute of Bankers Malaysia (or Institut Bank-bank Malaysia (IBBM)), it transformed into AICB in 2014 and today, has over 35,000 members. The Institute is governed by a council of representatives from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM), and the Malaysian Investment Banking Association (MIBA).
