Earning Criteria

Develop artwork to create patterns through the processes of hand-drawing, scanning, and refinement in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Show competencies in setting up accurate repeat patterns, changing colors, and determining scale and textures using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of design licensing, selling, copyrights, and contracts.

Apply designed patterns to actual fabric and product samples produced via Print on Demand technology, and create a portfolio comprised of 12 or more collections, including themes in demand by manufacturers.
