Complete ACX-699C Designing Advocacy.

Create posters and other designs to help mobilize youth who are learning to speak and advocate for their own education, drawing from personal experiences in order to maximize community connection. Empower students with comprehensive knowledge of the design process, how to translate that into powerful visual messaging.

Learn to use design thinking, design research, and visual communication.

Learn to use Procreate and Adobe Illustrator software to visually communicate ideas.

Learn organizing principles and case-making on a school district level in order to apply design knowledge to advocate for arts education.

Complete project and participation in final presentation.

Students received 10 prints of their completed artwork and will have digital versions of the work to show in their portfolios. Artwork exhibited at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) as part of the California State Summer School for the Arts.
