Earning Criteria

Certified or licensed by and in good standing with an AOTA-recognized credentialing or regulatory body
Have a minimum of 2,000 hours as an occupational therapy practitioner
Have a minimum of 600 hours delivering occupational therapy services to clients in the area of driving and community mobility within the last 5 years
Submitted a comprehensive reflective portfolio of professional development activities
To maintain SCDCM and SCDCM-A, certificants must meet continuing professional development requirements and apply for recertification every five years.
Note: Certificants who earned the SCDCM and SCDCM-A credentials achieved them through a legacy portfolio-based process.
