Earners of the Occupational Therapy Low Vision level I badge have successfully demonstrated an understanding of the unique needs of older adults with low vision in safely and independently engaging in desired occupations. Earners of this badge understand the causes of low vision and the impact of low vision on occupational performance. They are also skilled in effective interventions including optical devices and strategies for environmental adaptations.Additional Details
Successful completion of course and a score of 75% or higher on associated exam: Low Vision in Older Adults: Foundations for Rehabilitation, 2nd Edition OR each of the four modules 1) Understanding Low Vision; 2) Selecting Low Vision Devices; 3) Modifying the Environment for Low Vision; and 4) Improving Performance for Low vision.
