Earners of the Falls Prevention badge have successfully demonstrated an understanding that supports evidence-based fall prevention practice among occupational therapy practitioners (OT and OTA). Earners of this badge are skilled at using fall risk assessment strategies and fall prevention interventions for community-dwelling older adults in outpatient settings (including primary care) and home settings. Earners are also well versed in the CDC’s Stopping Accidents, Deaths & Injuries (STEADI).
