Fence Installation School - Two Day Course

AFA established the original Field Training School in 1978 and continues this tradition of training excellence under the current Fence Installation School. This two-day version of the school teaches two disciplines of fence installation (disciplines vary based on session offered) according to best industry practices and standards. This course is ideal for new hires and installers with less than two years of experience, although it is open to fence professionals of all levels.

Earning Criteria

This two-day, 16 hour course covers two of the following disciplines (varies based on session offered) : Chain Link; Wood/Composite; Vinyl; Ornamental Metal; Agriculture/Farm/Ranch. Core topics of importance to all fence installers covered include: Personal Safety; Equipment & Tools; Truck/Trailer Safety; Intro to Blueprint Reading; Site Reading & Layout; Intro to Fence Welding; Post Hole Digging; Concrete Mixing; Post Setting. Students also practice delivering toolbox talks.
