Earners of this microcredential have demonstrated culturally responsive practice within the context of a Community Music Therapy approach. Service delivery occurred following a two-day workshop and during the Summerfest Music Festival and included professional supervision and feedback. Earners are able to assess and engage individuals of all ages and abilities in single-session community music experiences within the context of a larger musical event.

The earner successfully completed 20 CMTE (continuing music therapy education) credits at Alverno College through the professional development workshop, “Community Music Therapy: In Concert with You.” Focus of clinical practice, professional supervision, and feedback as learning centered on the dynamics of clinical music experiences for children and their families provided during the Summerfest Music Festival.
