Applied for the program by completing an application form, submitting a cover letter and CV. Applicants were then evaluated and ranked for admission due to a cap on registration.

This program was online, with a combination of in-class and self-study introductory and intermediate level modules. There were approximately 100 hours of online classroom time. The topics included: Programming in Python; Data Analytics and Visualization; Linux and Shell Scripting; Advanced Computing Techniques; High Performance Computing (HPC); Parallel Computing; Cloud Computing; Version Control; Machine Learning; Technical Project Management; and Cybersecurity.

Participants undertook an Independent Study Project as a cumulative project, using the skills learned throughout the program to explore a topic of their interest in depth. This project allowed them to creatively apply programming, HPC and data analysis to investigate complex problems and demonstrate their understanding.

Assessments completed throughout the program provided proof of skills and competencies acquired. These assessments were authentic, where learners completed real-world tasks to demonstrate the application of their skills and knowledge.
