Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE)

Issued by The Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)

CVEs provide comprehensive vocational assessment services to consumers with a range of disabilities, education levels, and work experience. The certificant administers, scores, and interprets an extensive variety of tests; conducts community-based assessments of vocational skills and abilities; analyzes medical, psychosocial, vocational, and educational information; develops a formal evaluation plan for each client; and creates reports, which are used make recommendations.

Earning Criteria

Must be a CRC, IPEC, ICVE, or PVE in good standing.
Must complete the CVE certification online course package, which focuses on the foundations of vocational evaluation, concepts and techniques in vocational evaluation, and applications and advanced techniques in vocational evaluation.
Must complete the final capstone project that is reviewed and evaluated by the CRCC CVE Advisory Panel.
