The RBLP-T certification is for senior leaders. Organizational learning makes change possible and enables competitive advantage. Senior leaders support the organization’s ability to learn by analyzing organizational learning capacity, promoting a shared vision, fostering knowledge emergence, and ensuring knowledge diffusion. Senior leaders that earn the RBLP-T certification are able to train and prepare others to sit for the RBLP series of leadership certification exams.

Earning Criteria

Applicants for RBLP-T certification must be currently serving in a senior leader role or have previously served in a senior leader role. Senior leaders are responsible for cross-functional objectives and results. They may provide guidance and direction to one or more middle managers. Senior leaders support organizational learning and change. They develop and implement strategies to achieve the organization’s vision. Senior leaders have substantial relevant expertise and experience.

Complete a Building and Leading Resilient Teams certificate, coaching, training, or development program consisting of 42 hours of student preparation and 21 contact hours of instructor-led group discussion, or 7 contact hours of one-on-one coaching. The programs offered by our education and training partners meet or exceed this requirement.

During the 3.5-hour oral RBLP-T certification exam, the applicant is required to show the competence of factual (what), conceptual (why), and procedural (how) knowledge in each of the following competency domains: Create Positive Climate, Develop Cohesion, Provide Purpose, Facilitate Team Learning, and Support Organizational Learning.

Recertification is required every three years to maintain the RBLP-T level of certification. Certification holders are required to complete a recertification application and professional development exercise detailing how they have implemented applicable leader tasks in the workplace during the previous three years.

Provide Purpose Leader Tasks - Task 1: Analyze individual purpose. Task 2: Show genuine concern for people. Task 3: Encourage individual learning Task 4: Delegate responsibility. Task 5: Empower decision-making. Task 6: Keep people focused on the mission. Task 7: Be there when the going gets tough.
Facilitate Team Learning Leader Tasks -Task 1: Analyze team learning capacity. Task 2: Orient on team goals. Task 3: Encourage constructive dialogue. Task 4: Build new mental models.
Support Organizational Learning Leader Tasks - Task 1: Analyze organizational learning capacity. Task 2: Promote a shared vision. Task 3: Foster knowledge emergence. Task 4: Ensure knowledge diffusion.
