IDOL courses Academy℠ is the only implementation program of its kind that not only shows you exactly how to create your job application assets and build a portfolio from scratch, but it also includes credentials, mentorship, and paid experience opportunities in instructional design and online learning. The Academy Coaches are selected alumni from the Academy who reached their instructional design goals in the program and encourage others with support and feedback along their journey.

Earning Criteria

The Academy Coaches must first complete the requirements in the IDOL courses Academy℠ before they are considered for the position.

Academy Coaches must have an IDOL® portfolio that includes at least three quality samples of instructional design and online learning.

Academy Coaches are either full-time or freelancing corporate instructional designers and eLearning developers with at least three months of on the job experience.

Academy Coaches present targeted, specific, and actionable feedback to every student that submits assets to them for review.
Standards
Skill in helping individuals or teams identify goals, develop realistic action plans, seek development opportunities, and monitor progress and accountability.
Skill in establishing an environment that fosters mutual respect and trust with coaching clients.
Knowledge of professional standards and ethical guidelines for coaching.
