Two lesson plans that follow the Discussion-Based model of lesson planning, which include: a title, a description of the unit of study, a description of the topic or primary goal(s). Each section of the Discussion-Based Learning model with all related artifacts (videos, artifacts, images) sections are labeled as: Learning Outcomes; Opening Question, Transition Question, Closing Question; Time Management Plan; Pre-Discussion Preparation; Plan for Perspective Assessment; Strategies for Inclusion.

Each lesson plan also includes a brief commentary (1-2 paragraphs or equivalent) on each section that explains, supports, and/or defends the choice for each section.

A narrative reflection (1-2 paragraphs or equivalent) focused on how the Discussion-Based Learning model can be applied within your current and/or future role.

An annotated list of five lesson plans, made by others and shared online, that are related to the content area and/or grade level the learner teaches or hopes to teach. Each annotation includes: a complete citation referencing the original lesson plan author; a brief description of the topic(s) and major goal(s) of the lesson plan; a brief critique identifying how well each lesson plan followed or did not follow the Discussion-Based Learning model of lesson planning.
