Earning Criteria

Complete three required assignments to assess the candidate's ability to: 1) conduct a gap analysis of operations and develop strategies to improve the practices and policies; 2) provide guidance to stakeholders regarding the academic framework of abroad programs based upon the Standards.

Assignments meet established rubrics as determined by two Forum Certified Assessors, professionals in the field with senior level experience and in depth knowledge of the Standards of Good Practice. Participants resubmit assignments to incorporate feedback from the assessors until the assignment meets the competency requirement.
Standards
The Forum on Education Abroad is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission as the Standards Development Organization for Education Abroad. The Forum develops and disseminates comprehensive Standards of Good Practice for the field of education abroad.
