A paper or multimedia presentation which states and supports a theoretical perspective related to learning and instruction--in light of new literacies. The paper or presentation must: demonstrate an understanding of the core concepts of new literacies and their use in designing learning experiences, follow the formatting and citation guidelines established in APA 6th edition, and include citations and references to key theorists and researchers.

The paper must also include core concepts related to new literacies, such as: participatory culture, learner-driven experiences, new media, comprehension of digital texts, and civic participation. It must also identify at least 3 ways new literacies can be leveraged for student learning. These examples of instructional design should: provide specific illustrations that detail the context of the design, & include an explanation of how this design falls within the core concepts of new literacies
