Badge earners know how to use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and/or YouTube, for example, and have demonstrated the ability to use these tools to promote the Open SUNY Center for Online Teaching (COTE) community, to share their affinity for online and technology-enhanced education, and to connect with others who have similar interests at a basic level.

Earning Criteria

Participate in and contribute posts to 2-4 unique social networks. Posts should demonstrate and advance an interest in online education, promote effective online teaching and learning practices, and/or share related tips, tools, and resources. And, may include, for example, posts that promote the visibility of Open SUNY, the Center for Online Teaching Excellence (COTE), or Open SUNY COTE online teaching community events or initiatives (e.g., live-tweeting the annual Open SUNY COTE Summit).
