The Certificate in ESG Investing is a level 4 qualification which delivers the benchmark knowledge and skills required by investment professionals to integrate ESG factors into the investment process. The first qualification of its kind in the UK, it has been developed by practitioners for practitioners. Developed in consultation with leading firms and supported by the UN PRI, the Certificate will enable an ESG graduate to expand their ESG knowledge and stay ahead in their field.

Earning Criteria

The Certificate in ESG Investing consists of a single, standalone examination unit which candidates must pass in order to achieve the qualification. The examination is 2 hours and 20 minutes in length and consists of 100 multiple choice questions (including short and long scenario item set questions).
In order to pass the examination, candidates must have studied the CFA UK official course materials, covering the following syllabus topics: • Introduction to ESG• The ESG market• Environmental factors• Social factors• Governance factors• ESG analysis, valuation and integration• Engagement and stewardship• ESG integrated portfolio construction and management• Investment mandates, portfolio analytics and client reporting
