UMMC ASB Interprofessional Education Series 2021-2022 - Session 4
The ASB IPE Series at UMMC is a program of presentations/panels focused on instilling the value of team-based patient care, which requires true collaboration and interprofessionalism among all health care professions, even those not directly involved in patient care, represented on the UMMC campus. Each session focuses on addressing Interprofessional Education Competencies.

Earning Criteria

Earners must attend a panel discussion on UMMC Workers' Joint responsibility to foster STEM interests in school-aged Children. Session relates to values and ethics. Learning objectives include: Identify common goals in engaging school-aged children; Explain connections between STEM education and the interprofessional workforce; Determine younger generations are key to the success of future interprofessional teams.

Earners must respond to a reflection assignment regarding the importance of STEM education and the future IP workforce. Response must include reasons the learner him/herself chose a career based in the sciences and what/whom influenced that decision. Score of 100% is required to earn the credential.
