Individuals in the DEI for Educators Specialization acquired a comprehensive understanding of historical inequalities and how feelings are affixed to historic trauma. They are aware of scientific data speaking to physiological threat and trauma reactions to discrimination and microaggressions. They learned new ways to challenge social, cultural and economic inequalities imposed on individuals and to cultivate environments that empower students to resolve conflicts.
