Grant Writing Certificate Program
Through the Temple University NEST (Network of Evaluation Services and Training) Grant Writing Certificate Program, supervisors, managers, directors and emerging leaders learn to develop successful proposals to obtain external funding. The earner of this badge is familiar with steps of the grant writing process and has basic knowledge about the types of grants available and how to look for them.

Earning Criteria

Attend all 6 weekly sessions, each consisting of two and a half hours of instructor-led training (total instructional time = 15 hours), and complete required assignments for each module.

All learners are encouraged to complete a grant application in response to either a grantor’s Request for Proposal or their published application guidelines for a proposal. Learners who elect to submit a proposal are given feedback.

Other assessments include the development of a Program Logic Model used by funders to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of a program, and a budget for program development and operations.
