The earner of this badge has completed 90 hours of graduate-level theological training designed to empower them with practical, relevant, applicable tools for ministry. Along with the basics of engaging theology and the Bible, they understand theological principles to the practice of ministry with people with disabilities, can advocate and empower the church in creating inclusive, accessible space and can assist people with disabilities to discern their call and use their gifts in ministry.

Earning Criteria
Standards
The Certificate in Practical Ministry meets the educational standards for United Methodist (UM) Certification in a specialized field as outlined by the Global Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM). Candidates for UM Certification are responsible for filling out and filing their paperwork with GBHEM and their Board of Ordained Ministry.
