The recipients of the five liter fermentation badge have the ability to describe the process of executing a 5 liter E. coli fermentation within a glass benchtop bioreactor. Earners can identify and describe different parts of a bioreactor, explain the steps to sterilize and prepare a benchtop bioreactor for fermentation, and assess parameters within the fermentation to gauge performance for induction.
